AN Inspection rubber stamp was typically applied to many items of the Army Air Forces during WWII. Both equipment and clothing items were frequently marked with this style of AN stamp which signified the item had been received from the manufacture, inspected, and was accepted by the Army Air Force. These stamps were commonly found on the A-2 Leather Flight Jacket linings, B-10 Flight jackets, B-15 Flight jackets as well as many aircraft equipment items such as radios, electrical components, machine guns, as well as many aircraft forgings and castings. This rubber stamp would be ideal for anyone doing restorations, reproductions of WWII era clothing or equipment, or restoration of WWII aircraft or warbirds.
